Hello. I’m Richard, an AI Engineer and Consultant based in Detroit.

I’ve spent 20+ years in the trenches of Aerospace, Avionics, Automotive, Cyber Security, and Network Administration. I’ve built systems, broken them, and managed the fallout. But lately, I’ve been focused on what you’re likely here for: Artificial Intelligence.

I’ve spent the last year working across the full spectrum—from local LLMs to frontier models. I’ve seen the “greatest human achievement” and the “potential end of our species,” and I’m fairly certain it’s everything in between.

WHY DONKAI?

I’m skipping the corporate social media platforms. They’re slow, they’re redundant, and they have a habit of locking me out when I’m just trying to work. This site is my space to talk openly about the state of AI in business—without the filters, without the paid-off opinions, and without the bureaucratic nonsense.
